Shoot Me First

Some of us are more prone to this than others. Not even thinking we are making a statement, we are creating a  target… Look at my buzz cut, shirts, do-rag, cargo pants, wrap around shades, camo T-shirt, etc. You might as well put up a sign that says “shoot me first “. The same goes with trucks that are lifted and loaded with gear for escaping the hoards. they are screaming take me out I’ve got cool gear, shoot me first, etc..
A motorcycle or bike is just as bad. why? Because they are easy to take out and if your saddlebags are bulging you have gear… shoot me first!
I think we are making statements without reliasing what we are doing. Perhaps dressing down, kind of like a geek, or differently than we have been in the past is the best camo, because you don’t look like a potential problem. The best tactics are the element of surprise… make them shoot the other guy first.
We are influenced by movies, whether we want to be or not. Step back and just be neatly dressed. A do-rag doesn’t make you a man  with skills… The same with pants and a special shirt. Find a peta shirt, or one with  a peace sign on it etc… now that’s camo.
…Be a survivor not a stat.
It’s really a no brainer… Look less than average— the grey man idea.
Lots of ways to approach the problem. Maybe more later. Shoot them not me… I’m pointing to Halcon and others.

    2. years ago a young kid asked, why are these gang type people after me?? I told him>>look at you..you dress, just like them. Stop dressing like that, put on some levis and a rock and roll t-shirt, let that hair grow!!! Found out that kid>>did do what I said..and was not a target anymore>>> he is all grown up..with children of his own now!!!

    8. Leaving curtains or blinds open at night is not a good idea. People can see you and what's in your home. You would never know they are there watching you.

  4. Plain ol' khakis, even with cargo pockets, and a well-worn Polo shirt, seem to be almost a standard working-class uniform, so you might not go too far wrong to copy it. One point about the khakis: get them from Target, Walmart, etc., and avoid the gunne shoppe or army-navy store, nothing screams veteran or LEO like those last two. As an example, I was working at my store (in the above "uniform") when I spotted a man waiting at the pharmacy, wearing clean, unscuffed, black steel-toed shoes, 5.11 khakis, and and unstained Polo shirt. As I passed him, I noted the badge and pistol on his belt, and the LEO departmental logo on his shirt. Those things, and his erect stance, made him stand out as "likely cop."

  5. thanks for your comments , Matt , and the good observations , it is the little things that make one stand out if you are looking for them... though certain people have a need to identify who they are by what they wear. looky me , we have ll done it at some point , I think.
